"Quick update.  Mas is doing well, broke our spinnaker guy at 0230 last night.  Made a quick swap for the port one and we were back up and running.  0300 forward starboard lifeline stanchion broke.  We think this was from the guy hitting it.  No F*cking sun out here, running low on power, sat phone now to be reserved for race check ins only.  Have enough power for 3 maybe 4 more days before we black out completely.  Don't worry we still have back up navigation system that are powered off of AA battery's so we can find Hawaii, also have paper charts.  Might have to go old school if the sun won't come out and play."

So, needless to say...we are praying for sun so they can charge their solar panels and at a minimum continue to make the race check-ins...and because (selfishly) we would like to keep receiving periodic updates from the middle of the Pacific.

Cheers,

Cori English
