2014 Rob Moore Regatta

The Rob Moore Regatta is a first time event for the Moore 24s, and is very near and dear to the fleet's heart for several reasons. Rob Moore was a tremendously influential member of the West Coast sailing community. He served as the racing editor of Latitude 38 for many years, and his writing, humor and insight inspired many of us to go out racing.

Rob was a great friend to many, and was himself an accomplished racer, both in the Bay and in the Ocean. Rob passed away far too early, but his legacy is continued at the second half Corinthian YC midwinter weekend. Under separate cover I will be circulating an email from Leslie Richter with some more details and links to the regatta web site and registration. GOTB for a great sailor and a great cause.

If you are wondering about Rob's legacy, look at the panel of sailors who will be sailing on Saturday and at the club that night. It's the who's who of West Coast sailing. This is a great sailing event, and much more than that.
